Dinosaur Models

Ever since their discovery more than a century ago, dinosaurs have continuously fascinated people inside and outside of the scientific community. The mystery of the dinosaurs is a subject that every school child loves, and science teachers have long known that covering dinosaurs is a great way to get kids interested in science in general.

Since most of what we know about the dinosaurs comes from studying the bones archaeologists have dug up, a great way to teach kids about dinosaurs is to expose them to this same primary source: dinosaur bones. Acquiring actual dinosaur bones isn’t easy for a science teacher, however, which is why companies like Edmund Scientific offer high-quality scale dinosaur skeleton models.

We carry scale models of many of the most famous dinosaurs, including the ever-popular Tyrannosaurus Rex. The Tyrannosaurus Rex skeleton model is far smaller than the real thing, but still impressive at over two feet in length. The model contains carefully cast and scaled bones that were created using the latest paleontological data, so you can be sure you’re teaching everything we know about this magnificent and mysterious beast.

For a closer look at the Tyrannosaurus Rex, you might also consider the Tyrannosaurus Rex skull model offered by us. This model presents a scale replica of what is arguably the most terrifying skull ever found. With a jaw over four feet long (reduced to about six inches in the model) containing more than 50 flesh-tearing teeth, there’s no wonder why the T-Rex continues to capture our imagination millions of years after it became extinct.
